Even I am beginning to believe all the negativity I am hearing about how terrible lute players really are, based on the lack of other talented bards I have encountered in my own time on the battlefield now. As the self proclaimed best lute player in all of Mordhau, I yearn for a talented challenger to emerge who will put my bardic skills fully to the test. Much like Kiyoh in a similarly named duel thread I too grow weary of going undefeated. Most other bards seem to have only one or two songs up their sleeves and then they are stuck on repeat. This is only a fraction of my repertoire, I haven't even posted some of my best works online yet, and I am always adding new tunes. Here are some lute cover requests I've done recently. I have swiftly and summarily vanquished all foes, and have yet to find even one other adversary that possesses a level of lute mastery equal to my own. With that thought in mind I set out upon the battlefield to find and challenge other bards to lute duels. The only way I can reconcile this difference from my personal experience as a bard is that most of the other bards out there must play the lute really badly, and surely nobody wants to listen to bad music. It is much to my surprise and dismay then that I find the vile contempt with which lute players are regarded on these discussion boards, with both such great passion and frequency. With rare exceptions, I generally feel that my presence is enjoyed by all I meet and in no way diminishes but rather enhances the experience for everyone playing by bringing the power of music to the battlefield - as the devs intended, or there wouldn't be a lute in the game in the first place! I am often on the winning team as a bard, I have never once yet been kicked from a server for playing the lute, and while I may occasionally die to the enemy or get team killed, so does everyone else in Mordhau. Hope it’ll do the same for you.I have been greatly enjoying the lute in Mordhau since I first picked one up in game and discovered its many wonders. Just follow the instructions given and it should be OK. Now this should work, but maybe I got the console keybind part wrong so I’d recommend you getting to those links that have that keybind part. You can still move while playing songs but hardly tho. If this happens, simply press numpad + to cancel the song, then delete all the text you’ve typed and re-choose your team. Also be aware that you mustn’t press pagedown or crouch while playing or it’ll open the chat and fuck up the whole thing. Once you’re done, simply open lutebot from your downloads folder, choose a midi file (placed all my midi files into the folder « SongProfiles » so I can find them easily), open the game, get a lute and press numpad +. Once you’re done, go at the bottom of the page and change the 5 last lines into this:ĬonsoleKey=PageUp -ConsoleKeys=PageUp +ConsoleKeys=PageUp +ConsoleKeys=Caret +ConsoleKeys=# Just go in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mordhau\Mordhau\Config\DefaultInput.ini. Then you have to go in your Mordhau folder. Official Linksĭownload Lute Bot from the Mordhau forum and once you’re done downloading it, just leave it there.
